Boxing Timer is built to respect your privacy. The short version: the app does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. Everything stays on your device.
Nothing personally identifiable. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not assign you an advertising or analytics identifier.
If you grant permission, Boxing Timer reads your heart rate during a workout to display it on screen, and writes a workout sample (type, duration, energy burned) so the session appears in the Fitness app. HealthKit data is stored by iOS on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled for Health, in your private iCloud account. Boxing Timer never transmits HealthKit data to any server we operate, and we have no servers that would receive it.
Boxing Timer can connect to a Bluetooth heart rate monitor to display live heart rate during training. The Bluetooth connection is local to your device. No heart rate data is logged, transmitted, or stored outside HealthKit (and only if you have granted that permission separately).
The app uses local notifications to deliver bell sounds and round transitions when the screen is locked. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No push tokens are registered with any server.
Boxing Timer saves your preferences (selected preset, voice coach settings, custom
presets, trial start date) to UserDefaults on your device. This data is
not transmitted off the device. Uninstalling the app removes it.
Boxing Timer is free for the first 30 days. After the trial, a $0.99/month auto-renewing subscription is required to continue using the app. Subscriptions are handled by Apple's StoreKit 2 framework. Apple processes the purchase, billing, and receipt; the developer never sees your payment information. The app reads StoreKit's signed transaction locally to determine whether your subscription is active and to anchor the trial start date to your Apple ID's first download (which prevents the trial from resetting when the app is reinstalled). No subscription or purchase data is transmitted to any server we operate.
Boxing Timer contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracking of any kind. The app integrates no third-party SDKs other than Apple's first-party frameworks (HealthKit, CoreBluetooth, StoreKit, ActivityKit, UserNotifications). There are no in-app advertisements.
Boxing Timer is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. The app complies with COPPA by collecting no personal information from any user.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes that affect what the app does on your device will also be called out in the app's release notes.
